Willard Wolf Legend Award

The Willard Wolf scholarship came about after a social media post sparked a movement by Angus and cattle producers tribute. Willard left a lasting impact on many of our Angus families in his roles as judge, cattle buyer, ringman, and more importantly, as a friend.

Shortly after the post was made, a memorial donation arrived from Craig and Mary K Vejraska, made out to the WJAA in memory of Willard. This donation was one of many that followed, as so many of us within the cattle industry shared a sincere fondness for Williard. Because the WJAA received these unsolicited funds after the passing of Willard Wolf, the board decided to put the funds to good use in his memory. The board determined that the best use of these funds was offering a cash award to a deserving senior WJAA member who embodies the character and dedication of Willard. 

Miss Anna Geddes is the 2024 Willard Wolf Legend Award recipient, exemplifying the spirit and character of the beloved and legendary Willard Wolf.
